At 26 years old, and a college graduate, Paul has been a fan of the jazz/big band era for quite some time. First hearing Frank Sinatra at age 8 while sifting through his father’s music collection, he fell in love with the songs, “Forget Domani” and “That’s Life”. Growing up, Paul’s grandfather gave him his first knowledge of music.
As a young adult, Paul got into the music of Elvis, The Beatles, Motown and even some country; building his passion from here. He began immersing himself with the music of all the great crooners - Dean to Frank to Sammy to Tony - and began to sing jazz standards. Safe to say... he was hooked.
Paul began to pursue any and every gig - restaurants, small lounges, and community theatre, with lead roles in the musicals “West Side Story”, “Anything Goes” and “The Pajama Game”. In 2004, renowned music promoter, Gerald Meyers, and Paul recorded a ten-song album that showcased the smoothness of his voice. and was highlighted by an opening performance for Frankie Avalon at the Buffalo Italian Heritage Festival.
It was in 2005 that Paul got his first huge break, as Kara Dioguardi, American Idol judge and winner of nine BMI awards, personally requested a meeting with Paul. Kara wrote three songs for Paul using the uniqueness of his voice with a new age spin.
Paul has since done numerous performances with the Buffalo Sabres, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Duke Ellington Orchestra. In 2007, Paul won the Fox affiliated “Buffalo Idol” and was chosen
to audition in Philadelphia for 'American Idol'.
Paul has since moved to New York City to further his
career by making various appearances on the big
stage and worldwide!
